Colleges Search Tips
We provide a few ways to allow you to find a college. First, here are some
definitions that will be helpful to you:

School Type: A college or university has schools within it. For example,
“business school,” “medical school,” “engineering school” and so on. A School
Type is a broad category.
- Area of Study: An Area of Study is a specific program, major, degree or
specialty within a school. For example, within a “business” school you can
specialize in “marketing” which is part of business.
- Location: Location allows you to select States, Countries and Online options.

You can locate a college using these steps:
1. Select a “School Type” in the first drop down menu.
2. Automatically the “Area of Study” drop down menu will give you a list of
programs that are associated with the School Type you selected.
3. After you have selected an “Area of Study,” the drop down list will
automatically list relevant states, countries or online options to select from.
4. Select the “Search” button and you will receive a list of schools based on your
search criteria.
5. If no results appear, you will be given the option to conduct a New Search,
Advanced Search or Quick Search.

Advanced College Search
Advanced Search allows you to narrow your search further by giving you the
option to search for a Degree (Associate, Bachelor, Master, Ph.D., etc.). You
follow similar drop-down menu selection steps as the Home Page Search plus
the Degree selection option. If your Advanced Search produces no results, then
you may want to consider trying the Quick College Search option.

Quick College Search
Our Quick College Search allows you to search by specific criteria. Quick College
Search allows you to browse lists of schools by College, or by Area of Study, or
by Location or by Online School. For example, if you want to find a college in
Texas, you would select only the Location drop down menu, select Texas and select the “Go” button. You should see a list of all colleges that are located in the state of Texas. If the Quick College Search gives you too many results, then you may want to try the Home Page College Search or the Advanced College Search (See above).
